The Téketo Modular Ltd has partnered with University Institutions and European Laboratories to perform the characterization of modular construction system made of galvanized steel MODIKO. Tests and trials were conducted with elements constructed to meet the requirements of European directives and standards for this type of construction.
Several tests were performed to characterize the mechanical MODIKO modular construction system, as set out in paragraph 5.1 "mechanical resistance and stability" of the guide ETAG 025.
FRONT FIRE BEHAVIOR
Behavior of the system against fire was tested for criteria referred to in Section 5.2 "Safety in case of fire" tab ETAG 025.
The risk of condensation is determined in accordance with section 5.3 "Safety, Health and Environment" tab of ETAG 025 and the analysis of the occurrence of condensation was conducted in accordance with the UNE - EN ISO 13788:2002.
Protection against noise is assessed as set out in paragraph 5.5 "Protection against noise" tab ETAG 025.
Thermal resistance and thermal inertia were calculated as described in Section 5.6 "Energy economy and heat retention" tab ETAG 025. The thermal resistance re their corresponding thermal transmittance U, were calculated in accordance with the UNE - EN ISO 6946:1997, using the thermal conductivities of different materials tabulated in standard UNE-EN 12524:2000.
